Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear to the Mudroom?
The clay and glaze does not stain but is messy. Please wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Also, it’s always a good idea to remove any valuable jewelry.
When should I show up for my scheduled lesson or workshop?
Please show up only 5 or 10 minutes prior to the start of your lesson. Sometimes I am with another student and early arrivals can be disruptive.
What if I am late for a lesson?
Lessons are for specific scheduled times and can only run later depending on my schedule. Please assume that if you show up late the lesson will end at it’s regular scheduled time and no later. If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late please give me a call.
Can I bring other people/family members to the lesson?
Space is limited so please ask before bringing additional guests. If additional people are present and want to participate they will be required to pay the session fee.
We do not allow additional children/siblings to attend the lessons unattended, unless they are participating and it has been previously arranged.
Do I have to pay in full for 8 week lessons?
Payment in full is preferred at time of registration but I will consider a weekly payment plan if requested.
When do I get to take my pots home?
After making pottery the pots will need to dry for 1-2 weeks. They are then bisque fired in the kiln. Students will be notified when their pots are ready to glaze and can opt to set up another lesson to glaze paint their pottery. The pots will be glaze fired and ready in 3-7 days. Students will be notified when the pots are finished and can be picked-up. |
